So much "debate" these days takes the form of rhetoric for the sake of one position or "the opposite" position without any regard for the true issues underlying the debate itself. One can't help that many of today's pundits aren't true to principles, but instead to empty ideology. Of course, the only way to come to any fundamental truth is to consider both sides of an issue and make an honest attempt to address its underlying tenets and to see all sides. At that point, one might even be compelled to change his or her views (horror of horrors) if the facts were persuasive enough. "Both Sides of the Issue" is an attempt by two friends (one leaning right - one leaning left) to foster such discussion. Please feel welcome to enter the fray, enjoy the debate, and perhaps even change your mind on an issue or two by hearing both sides.
